Operational Assessment and Growth Strategy for a National Healthcare and Retail Company

Operational Assessment and Growth Strategy for a National Healthcare and Retail Company

Situation: A national healthcare and retail company operating 7,700+ locations across the United States, including 800+ in-store clinical service centers, sought to evaluate the performance of its clinical operations and determine a strategic path forward for growth. Leadership needed a clear-eyed view of how the existing clinical footprint was performing across the network and where opportunities existed to optimize operations and expand.

Approach: BIE conducted a comprehensive operational assessment across the clinical service network, analyzing performance data, customer experience metrics, and operational patterns across hundreds of locations. The assessment examined throughput, wait times, service consistency, and site-level performance to identify what was working, what wasn’t, and why. BIE combined quantitative analysis with stakeholder and customer insights to build a complete picture of the current state and inform the growth strategy.

Results: BIE’s assessment and strategic plan enabled the company to optimize operational elements across its existing clinical locations while establishing a clear, data-driven roadmap for network expansion. The work provided leadership with the fact base and framework needed to make informed decisions about where and how to grow the clinical footprint nationally.
